WICKED

Last night I went and saw the broadway show "Wicked". One word to describe it STUPENDOUSIt was one of the better plays i've seen. The lead role of Wicked Witch of the West (Elphaba) was amazing. Her voice was unbelievable. Glinda the good witch, was hilarious....(toss, toss..that's for you Rachel :) If it comes to your neck of the woods, it's a must see!

Never-Ending

thought of the day:

why is it that laundry is a never ending project. I find it totally boring and non productive, yet it has to be done. and why do we wear something once, throw it in the laundry basket, figuring it's dirty but its perfectly clean?! Now with Saylor spitting up and drooling on everything, there's twice as much. Maybe if I had this laundry room I would enjoy it....probably not :) happy cleaning!

Oh Nuts!

me and some of my girlfriends get together every Monday to watch The Bachelor. Arine hosted a couple of weeks ago and she had a spread of appetizers. There was this bowl of yummyness on the table that I couldn't keep my hands out of. It was cashews, peanuts and pineapple with a kick of spicyness. I had to know what this fabulousness was!! She said she got it at Target but wasn't sure the name of it was, cause she threw the bag away. So I was at Costco the other day and stumbled upon this box of nuts, and I was thrilled when I saw what was on the box....cashews, peanuts, and pineapple with a kick of spicyness!! There so different but oh so good. It's the perfect pairing of sweet, salty, and savory, like chocolate covered popcorn, but without the guilt. Thanks Costco. ( I took the pictures with my iphone so there not very clear sorry)

Patience pays off!

So I've wanted this bookcase for Saylor's room since I saw it at Target at least a year ago. Everytime I would go there, I had to walk by it and gaze. For some reason I just couldn't justify paying $200 dollars for it, yet I swear everytime I would leave I had spent at least a $100 on the most random stuff that I probably didn't really need. So I was going through the Sunday paper ads, which is the best part of the newspaper and happen to stumble across the bookcase I wanted and it said it was on SALE!!! The next morning I knew Saylor had to take her morning nap, but the minute I heard her get up, I was so excited causeI knew we were going to TARGET!! I headed to Target and I walk over to the furniture section of the store and down the isle of bookcases. My heart is pumping and i'm so excited! I walk down the bookcase isle and I start looking to find it on the shelf. I'm crushed.. there gone!!! this can't be! Luckily I tracked down someone to check the back and they had 1 left in stock with my name written all over it!! so long story short, it's still sitting in the box waiting for my hubby to put it together, but after 'm done posting this i think i'll go ahead and start the project cause I can't look at it in the box anymore! The suspense is killing me. My girlfriend in UTah has been asking me to send pictures of her baby room, so i'll post some once I get the bookcase in there!

Always a good time

I know I haven't blogged for awhile, but I'm baaack! Saylor and I went to Utah for a week, to visit grandma and grandpa. we celebrated my birthday while I was there and i woke up to a snow storm! it's freaking April? We did all sorts of fun things...kangaroo place, dinosaur museum, visited great-grandparents at there ranch, watched baby cows being born, rode trackers, shopped, ate the best Turkey avocado and bacon sandwich from Kneaders, and just hung out. Saylor of course got an ear infection the day after we got there (those stupid planes) but she didn't let that dampen her spirits. She loved playing with her cousin isaac, and he loved giving her hugs and kisses, and teaching her to crawl (which she still hasn't mastered, but i'm in no hurry) So here's a few pictures from our fun vacation back home.
